The Green Revolution trunks are presentations designed for students that follow the notions of the Green MOAH Initiative. These free presentations are uniquely designed for each grade level, as they are based on the Next Generation Science Standards for California Public Schools.
The Green Revolution discovery trunk addresses such environmental concerns while also meeting K-12 academic Next Generation Science Standards. Through an interactive presentation, students delve into topics which include: pollution, drought, energy, conservation, and climate change, while also proposing practical efforts to work towards a better tomorrow. The new trunk heralds MOAH’s upcoming Green Revolution exhibition, beginning February 13, which will present a series of individual exhibits focused on sustainable living through renewable energy, urban gardening, and the concepts of reuse/recycle.
MOAH’s Trunk Program has been bringing the museum experience into the community since 2006. The program has been generously funded by corporations and individuals including California Community Foundation, Southern California Edison, Target, Boeing, and Hernando & Fran Marroquin.
